At this year’s show, the Girbau Group unveiled the entire range of 6 Series washers, both hard-mount and soft-mount, onto the American market, highlighting the superior energy efficiency of these machines on the basis of recently having received Energy Star recognition for 6 Series as being the top ranking washers for reduced water and energy consumption.
Prior to the opening of the show Girbau laid on a reception for the company’s main distributors and clients where all those in attendance were welcomed by Mercè Girbau and Pere Girbau Jr, CEOs of Girbau Group.
During his speech, Pere Girbau Jr spoke of the considerable investments currently being made to meet the demand for the new 6 Series, “Recent investments have allowed production to increase by more than 30% in the first five months of this year and it continues to grow”.
Mercé Girbau stated: “We are going through a transitional period, not only as regards the company’s management but also about Girbau products and the philosophy of the Group" adding “as members of the new Girbau generation we continue to respect the values passed down from our forefathers: confidence in people, a job well done, a positive attitude and respect for our environment”.

Aside from the unveiling of the 6 Series, Girbau's stands also featured some of the latest products from their heavy-duty laundry division including the complete batch washer and flatwork ironing systems.
As regards their commercial laundry division (OPL), Girbau also introduced the new coin-op laundromat concept, already up and running in Oshkosh (Wisconsin), where Girbau’s American branch is based.
This is actually a new business concept designed to provide added value with regards to time, energy efficiency and quality. By the name of Express Laundry Center, services provided by this laundry are aimed at being a time-saver for its users.
